Making Every Child Feel Seen During the Holidays
WeSeeU started with a simple idea: no child should feel forgotten during the holidays.
For children spending the holidays in a hospital or intensive care unit, the season can look very different from what they imagined. And throughout our community, there are families facing difficult circumstances that can make providing gifts for their children especially hard.
WeSeeU brings people together to help make those days a little brighter. We collect new toys through donation boxes at local businesses, community toy drives, and individual donations. Monetary donations allow us to purchase even more gifts based on the needs of the children and organizations we serve.
We work with Central Texas hospitals and local community organizations to get those toys into the hands of children who need them.
A toy may seem like a small thing, but to a child, it can mean so much more. It can bring a moment of excitement to a hospital room, give a child something special to call their own, or simply make an otherwise difficult day feel a little more normal.
Most importantly, it sends a message: you are seen, someone is thinking about you, and you have not been forgotten.
That is what WeSeeU is all about. One toy, one child, and one moment of joy at a time.

About Us
It Started With One Four-Year-Old and a Room Full of Toys
When WeSeeU founder Max was four years old, he spent the holidays in a hospital recovering from open brain surgery. During his stay, the hospital had a room filled with toys donated by members of the community for children who couldn’t be home for the holidays.
For Max, getting to choose a toy brought a little bit of normalcy and happiness to a difficult time. He never forgot the kindness behind that room full of toys, or the people in the community who made it possible.
Ten years later, on the anniversary of his surgery, Max started WeSeeU to do the same for other children. Now 15, he continues to lead WeSeeU and its efforts to collect toys and bring a little joy to children in hospitals and children in need throughout Central Texas.
What started with one little boy and the generosity of his community has become Max’s way of giving that kindness back.
Sometimes something as simple as a toy can make a hard day a little brighter. That’s why WeSeeU exists.
